Jadakiss Confirms He Has An Unreleased Verse On The Notorious B.I.G.’s “Mo’ Money, Mo’ Problems”

He also recalled Biggie making him rewrite his “Last Day” verse.

The LOX are basking in the limelight of their recent Verzuz battle against Dipset, and they stopped by The Breakfast Club to discuss the event and their storied career. While they were there, Charlamagne Tha God had them clear up some rumors about their discography. While Jadakiss denied some ghostwriting rumors, he did confirm that he recorded a verse for The Notorious B.I.G.’s “Mo' Money, Mo' Problems” with Diddy and Ma$e that went unused.

“I did have a verse on there that they never used,” he said. “You’ll probably hear it when I’m dead.”

It’s not the first time he’s discussed missing out on the track. “I was supposed to be on that song,” he said during a 2017 appearance on The Breakfast Club, where he also noted that Ma$e wrote Diddy’s verse.

Last year, Statik Selektah also confirmed that the verse exists in an interview with HipHopDX. “I also have Jadakiss on ‘Mo' Money, Mo' Problems.’ Crazy. He was on the original,“ he said.

Although he didn’t make the cut for “Mo' Money, Mo' Problems,” Jada and The LOX would work with Biggie on songs like “It’s All About the Benjamins (Remix)” and “Last Day.” During The LOX’s Breakfast Club appearance, Jada also confirmed rumors that Biggie made him rewrite his “Last Day.”

“I had another verse,” Jada said. “[Biggie] was like, ‘Nah, you could come harder than that.’ And when I gave him the one I came with, he loved it.”

“Mo' Money, Mo' Problems” appears on Biggie’s second album, Life After Death, and would go on to become one of his signature hits. It samples Diana Ross“I’m Coming Out,” and would be certified Platinum in 1997.
