Juice WRLD Freestyles For More Than An Hour With Tim Westwood

The rapper showed the depth of his lyrical creativity over beats from Tyler, The Creator, BlocBoy JB, JAY-Z, & more.

Juice WRLD has built a massive audience through his melodic, melancholy tracks like “Lucid Dreams” and “All Girls Are the Same,” but the 19-year-old Chicagoan recently proved that not only can he spit more traditional raps, but he can do so with no end in sight.

Appearing on Tim Westwood TV on June 29, Juice reeled off a wide-ranging freestyle referencing artists like Eminem and Lil Wayne and throwing in enough pauses and spur of the moment lyrics to really make the entire thing feel off the cuff.

I’m on Westwood, ridin' through yo hood
Like Red Ridin', strikin' like bright lightnin', my flow is too excitin'
I’ll end yo world like Mayans, off the dome, kickin' it
Try me if you think I’m lyin', now listen how I do it

Among the beats he rapped on were Tyler, The Creator’s “Yonkers,” BlocBoy JB’s and Drake’s “Look Alive”, JAY-Z’s and Beyoncé’s “Family Feud” and Lil Baby’s “Yes Indeed,” which also features the inescapable Canadian MC.

At one point, Juice spit to the beat for XXXTENTACION’s “SAD!”, which is currently the No. 1 song in the country following the Florida rapper’s death. Juice recently dropped “Legends” and “Rich and Blind” as part of the Too Soon EP, a tribute to both X and Lil Peep.

As Genius noted, “Lucid Dreams” was originally released in July 2017 didn’t break out until the success of “All Girls Are the Same” in February 2018, but the former currently sits at No. 4 on the Hot 100. His album Goodbye & Good Riddance is No. 8 on the Billboard 200.
