Juice WRLD Has Reportedly Recorded Over 100 Songs Since The Release of ‘Goodbye & Good Riddance’

He also cites Panic! At The Disco & Bullet For My Valentine as some of his major influences.

Chicago rapper Juice WRLD is one of the biggest breakout successes of 2018, earning a Top 5 hit with “Lucid Dreams” and finding success with “All Girls Are the Same,” too. Both tracks live on his Interscope debut Goodbye & Good Riddance, which has remained in the upper reaches of the Billboard 200 chart since it dropped in May. While he just put out a full length project a few months ago, a new profile in The New York Times reveals that he’s got a lot more in the the works.

According to the report, Juice WRLD has recorded over 100 songs since the release of Goodbye & Good Riddance, including his recent tracks “Legends” and “Rich and Blind,” which he released shortly after the murder of XXXTentacion. “I have a lot going for me, I recognize it’s a lot of big things, a lot of big looks,“ he said about his recent success, although he didn’t lay out an exact timeline for when fans could expect to hear more music.

The NYT profile also lists pop-punk and hardcore bands like Bullet For My Valentine, Escape The Fate, and Panic! at the Disco as a few of Juice WRLD’s biggest influences, alongside rappers like Future, Soulja Boy and Tyler, The Creator. Juice WRLD’s peers like XXXTentacion, Lil Uzi Vert, and Lil Peep have similarly cited emo and pop-punk bands as major influences, a trend that Genius previously broke down:

Juice WRLD also briefly discussed the role Lil Bibby and Bibby’s brother G-Money have played in his career. “I’m the little brother, and I’m fine with that,” he said, referencing the mentorship that Bibby has offered him. He noted that meeting Chicago rapper G Herbo earlier this year “was like the last time I actually felt, the last time I could feel."

“Lucid Dreams” currently sits at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, after recently peaking at No. 3. He also linked up with Lil Uzi Vert for the new song “Wasted,” which he ended up adding to Goodbye & Good Riddance. He recently sat down with Genius to break down his hit track:
