Juice WRLD’s ‘Legends Never Die’ Outro Was Actually Recorded In June 2019

“Juice WRLD Speaks from Heaven (Outro)” samples an Instagram Live stream.

Upon reaching the final track on Juice WRLD’s first posthumous album, Legends Never Die, fans were shocked to hear the late rapper seemingly speak from beyond the grave. As it turns out, “Juice WRLD Speaks from Heaven (Outro)” samples an Instagram Live session from several months before his death in December 2019.

On the outro, Juice says:

I’m actually FaceTimin', not FaceTimin', I’m slow
I’m on Instagram Live from Heaven, huh
I made it y'all, I’m up here, I’m boolin'
Haha, I love y'all to death, um
I couldn’t ask for better fans or supporters
For sure, I love all y'all to death, 999, forever
The party never ends

As Genius contributor proxim points out, the first three lines are sampled from a June 2019 Instagram Live stream that took place while Juice was on vacation with DJ Scheme.

During the live stream, he also teased an unreleased song that fans have dubbed “Good Times.” Although the track didn’t make the final cut for Legends Never Die, it could wind up on the upcoming deluxe edition of the album.

Juice WRLD’s estate also sampled from interviews throughout the project. The intro includes a clip from his 2019 Genius IRL interview, while “The Man, The Myth, The Legend (Interlude)” honors his legacy by using excerpts of interviews in which artists like Young Thug, Eminem, Lil Dicky, and G Herbo praise him.
