Justin Bieber Forgot The Spanish Lyrics To “Despacito” During A Recent Performance

He yelled “blah blah blah” instead.

Justin Bieber may have previewed a remix of Kendrick Lamar’s “HUMBLE.” during his appearance at NYC’s 1OAK nightclub on Tuesday, but the rest of his performance didn’t go quite as smoothly. The pop star is currently sitting at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart with his remix of “Despacito” by Puerto Rican artists Daddy Yankee and Luis Fonsi. On the track, Bieber sings partially in Spanish, and Fonsi recently told Genius that he was impressed with Bieber’s language skills.

In a new video obtained by TMZ, Bieber performs his hit collab at the nightclub, but instead of singing the chorus in Spanish he loudly yells “blah blah blah”:

Another clip shows him yelling “I don’t know the words so I say burrito”:

It’s not clear if he actually forgot the words to his hit single or if he wasn’t singing them intentionally, but either way it comes off pretty disrespectful to the original track. “Despacito” is the first Spanish-language song to hit the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart since “Macarena” in the late ‘90s, and Bieber’s star power is a big part of the reason why.

Luis Fonsi recently broke down the track in an episode of Genius' original video series Verified:
