Olivia Rodrigo Scores A Second No. 1 Debut With “Good 4 U” & J. Cole Earns His Highest-Charting Hit

Cole landed four songs in the Top 10.

Olivia Rodrigo is once again atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week with “good 4 u,” showing that her breakout single, “drivers license,” was no fluke. Billboard reports that the song earned 43.2 million on-demand streams in its first week, easily enough to debut at No. 1. She previously debuted atop the chart with “drivers license” earlier this year.

Her new album, SOUR, dropped last week, and it already has the distinction of being the first debut album to produce two No. 1 hits since Macklemore & Ryan Lewis The Heist in 2012. A female debut album hasn’t done so since Lady Gaga’s The Fame in 2008.

Just below her on the chart is J. Cole, who earns the highest charting hit of his career with the 21 Savage and Morray-assisted song, “m y . l i f e.” He previously peaked at No. 4 with “MIDDLE CHILD” in February 2019.

Overall, Cole scored four Top 10 hits this week. “a m a r i” reached No. 5, “p r i d e . i s . t h e . d e v i l” with Lil Baby landed at No. 7, and “9 5 . s o u t h” rounded things out at No. 8. The new songs nearly double the total number of Top 10 hits in his career, which previously stood at six.

Cole’s The Off-Season debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, too, marking his sixth straight album to reach the top of the chart.
