Lana Del Rey Shares Official Version Of Previously Unreleased Song “Say Yes To Heaven”

The track was intended to appear on her 2014 album ‘Ultraviolence.’

Nearly six years ago, an unreleased song that Lana Del Rey recorded back in 2013 for her 2014 album Ultraviolence surfaced online. Then in 2022, a sped-up version of the unearthed snippet went viral on TikTok, where it was used in more than 800K posts. Now, Lana is answering fans’ demand for the real thing. Today, she dropped the full version of the track, titled “Say Yes To Heaven,” and unsurprisingly, it’s already made its way up the Genius Top Songs chart.

Produced by Rick Nowels and Dean Reid, “Say Yes To Heaven” fits the dreamy pop sound of Del Rey’s Ultraviolence era. Lyrically, the track is about remaining devoted to a person—even if they’re on the fence about the relationship.

On the first verse, Lana encourages her lover to let go of their reservations and give in to their love, and she uses a reference to John Lennon’s classic 1969 track “Give Peace a Chance” to drive the point home.

Give peace a chance
Let the fear you have fall away

On the pre-chorus, Lana has her sights set on one person and one person only.

I’ve got my eye on you
I’ve got my eye on you

She knows what they could have would be pure bliss, and on the hook, she continues urging this person to give the love a chance.

Say yes to Heaven
Say yes to me

On the second verse, she tries out a different approach. Instead of pushing this person to choose her, she opts for patience, promising that her intentions will never waver for as long as it takes.

If you go, I’ll stay
You come back, I’ll be right here
Like a barge at sea
In the storm, I stay clear

For all the TikTok users out there, “Say Yes To Heaven” also arrived alongside an official sped-up version of the track. You can read all the song’s lyrics on Genius now.
