Linkin Park Premieres The Lyrics To New Single “Heavy” Featuring Kiiara

“You say that I’m paranoid, but I’m pretty sure the world is out to get me.”

Linkin Park gives fans a taste of their upcoming seventh album today with a lyric premiere for their new single “Heavy” featuring Kiiara. The song is self-produced and written by Linkin Park and pop songwriter Julia Michaels. Michaels previously worked on tracks by Selena Gomez (“Good For You”), Justin Bieber (“Sorry”), and Nick Jonas (“Close”).

On the song, lead vocalist Chester Bennington sings about dealing with paranoia and mental health issues:

I don’t like my mind right now
Stacking up problems that are so unnecessary
Wish that I could slow things down
I wanna let go but there’s comfort in the panic
And I drive myself crazy
Thinking everything’s about me
Yeah, I drive myself crazy

“Heavy” also features pop singer Kiiara, whose Felix Snow-produced hit “Gold” peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 in December. The track serves as the first single from the band’s new album, One More Light, which drops on May 19.
