“I been searching for an answer always just out of reach.”

Linkin Park gives fans their first taste of the new song “Battle Symphony” today by premiering all the lyrics on Genius. It’s produced by the band’s own Brad Delson and Mike Shinoda, who also serve as co-writers alongside Jon Green. It’s the second track Linkin Park has released from its upcoming album One More Light, following “Heavy” featuring Kiiara. However, “Battle Symphony” will not be an official single from the album.

On the first verse, lead vocalist Chester Bennington sings:

Blood on the floor
Sirens repeat
I been searching for the courage
To face my enemies
When they turn down the lights

He evokes the song title on the chorus:

I hear my battle symphony
All the world in front of me
If my armor breaks
I’ll fuse it back together

Last week, Linkin Park dropped the official music video for their Kiiara collaboration “Heavy”:

“Battle Symphony” will be available to stream and purchase on Friday, March 17. One More Light drops of May 19 and is available to pre-order on iTunes now.
