He’s readying his follow-up to 2017's ‘Flicker.’

Niall Horan’s new single, “Nice to Meet Ya,” is set to drop this Friday, and he’s premiering all its lyrics today on Genius. The song is produced by Julian Bunetta, and co-written by Horan, Bunetta, Tobias Jesso Jr., and RuthAnne. It serves as the first taste of what’s to come following the release of his Platinum-certified 2017 solo debut, Flicker.

On “Nice to Meet Ya,” Horan sings about trying to lock down an elusive love interest:

I like the way you talk, I like the things you wear
I want your number tattooed on my arm in ink, I swear
‘Cause when the morning comes, I know you won’t be there
Every time I turn around, you disappear

He continues this theme through the song’s bridge, singing:

One minute, you’re there, the next one, you’re gone
Been waiting for you all night, so come on
You know what I need, you know what I want
You know what I need now, you know what I need now

The former One Direction singer even gave fans an audio preview of the track:

Horan will release “Nice to Meet Ya” on Friday, October 4. “I’m laying here listening to songs from my new record and I’m so excited to get going,” he tweeted earlier this year. “Can’t wait for you to hear the fun I’ve been having over the last year.”
