The “All About That Bass” singer just dropped ‘TREAT YOURSELF.’

Meghan Trainor just dropped her third album, TREAT MYSELF—and she teamed up with Nicki Minaj on her latest single, “Nice To Meet Ya.”

As expected of Trainor, “Nice to Meet Ya” is a self-empowerment anthem, produced by Ojivolta. She sings:

I am blessed by the Heavens
Someone’s got a hold on me
Sweet, but I get rough, just what I wanna be
What I wanna be, just what I wanna be
I don’t know you, but-
I am blessed by the Heavens
Someone’s got a hold on me
Sweet, but I get rough, just what I wanna be
What I wanna be, just what I wanna be
I don’t know you, but I’m just what I wanna be

As for Minaj’s verse, she pushes back against her haters with a reference to her star-making verse on “Monster”:

Who you gon' call when you ain’t got the uh
Me and Meghan run up in the spot like uh
I pop off ‘cause I am the reigning champ
Please no comparisons, 'cause you know they can’t
Had to cut the grass, it was snakes in the camp
They know I’m the billy, I be laughin’
Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha
One minute I’m nice, the next a monster

Last year, Minaj abruptly announced her retirement from hip-hop before walking back the news. “I love music and interacting with fans, so I can’t really see taking myself completely away,” she told Billboard. “But I want to be open to other possibilities in my life. I do believe it is important to become a woman outside of the magnifying glass. I have to make sure that I’m well-rounded as a human being.”

Since then, she’s linked up with artists like DaBaby on “iPHONE,” Ariana Grande and Normani on “Bad to You,” and KAROL G on “Tusa.”

On January 30, she returned to social media for the first time since November. The Pinkprint artist is slated to guest-judge the season 12 premiere of RuPaul’s Drag Race on February 28.

Ahead of the single release, the “All About That Bass” singer teased the track on Twitter:

As Genius users @theheartbreakprince and @pinkliability point out, TREAT MYSELF was originally slated to drop in August 2018. However, Trainor decided to push back the release date so she could continue writing songs. In a now-deleted Instagram post, she wrote:

I’m in such an amazing place and I can’t stop writing songs. I’ve decided to move my new album TREAT MYSELF until I get everything out of my head and recorded in the studio. I’ve never been more excited for all of you to hear my new music. Thank you for your continued love and support.

A year later, she revealed the arrival time on The Ellen Show:

Trainor previously released “No Excuses” and “Wave,” and her latest LP features AJ Mitchell, The Pussycat Dolls, and Mike Sabath.
