The 88Rising crew is back with their latest collaborative album, Head in the Clouds II. The LP includes the previously released tracks, “These Nights,” “Indigo,” and “Breathe.” This is the media company’s sequel to last year’s first-ever Head in the Clouds.
Executive produced by Joji, the LP includes the usual suspects: Rich Brian, NIKI, Higher Brothers, AUGUST 08, and Don Krez. New 88Rising signee Stephanie Poetri is also in the mix. K-pop idols like Chungha and Jackson Wang as well as Western artists like Major Lazer, GoldLink, and Swae Lee populate the tracklist. Rogét Chahayed, 1Mind, and Jacob Reske can be found in the production credits.
Rich Brian told Billboard that the concept for “These Nights” was inspired by a conversation with iPhone AI Siri. “After a while I tried to flirt with her to see how she would respond,” he said. “And I started thinking of the future when you can have relationships with robots, that’s how I wanted this song to feel.”
