Griselda’s Conway The Machine and producer The Alchemist linked up for a new seven-track collection titled LULU. The two artists have worked extensively in the past on songs like “A Thousand Birds” and “94' Ghost Sh*t,” but this is their first joint project together.
Conway and Alchemist previewed LULU with the ScHoolboy Q-assisted lead single, “Shoot Sideways.” Veteran New York rapper Cormega also makes a guest appearance on “They Got Sunny.”
In an interview with Complex, Conway spoke about his triplet flow on “Calvin.”
“I challenged myself to tap into a different kind of pocket with my rhyme pattern,” the Buffalo rapper explained. “I felt like it’d be a dope contrast—that kind of beat with that kind of flow. That ain’t really normal. I thought it would be dope to flip in on some other type of shit.”
