The English artist teamed up with Lizzo, HAIM, and Sky Ferreira.

Charli XCX is back with her third album, Charli. Her album includes the previously released singles: “Gone,” “Cross You Out,” “1999,” “Warm,” “Blame It on Your Love,” “February 2017,” and “2099.” This is her first full-length since 2014’s Sucker.

The new LP finally arrived after years of delays. Back in 2016, she told Beats 1’s Zane Lowe that the album would arrive in 2017. “The albums coming out in May,” she said at the time. “I’m sure I’ll just get bored and leak the whole thing before then anyway.” She originally intended “After the Afterparty” to be the album’s lead single, but it didn’t make the final tracklist.

Features almost play as big a role on this outing as they did on 2017’s Pop 2. This time around, she’s brought along Sky Ferreira, TOMM¥ €A$H, Kim Petras, HAIM, Lizzo, Big Freedia, cupcakKe, Brooke Candy, Pabllo Vittar, Clairo, Yaeji, and Christine and the Queens. A. G. Cook, watt, StarGate have production credtis.

In a cover story for Spin, she spoke about how the album reaches into her “thoughts and feelings about my mental state and what life is supposed to be as an artist, my depression, and my insecurities… I’m being more honest than ever before. It’s been very therapeutic.”
