Today, Eminem marks the 20th anniversary of his major label debut album, The Slim Shady LP, by reissuing an expanded edition to streaming services. There are 10 additional tracks, including various freestyles, a cappellas, and instrumentals, as well as his 1999 Dr. Dre collaboration, “Bad Guys Always Die,” from the Wild Wild West soundtrack.
The Slim Shady LP was Eminem’s first release after signing to Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment, and quickly established him as a mainstream superstar. The album’s singles were “My Name Is,” “Role Model,” and “Guilty Conscience,” all of which featured production by Dre. It has been certified quadruple-Platinum and has sold over 18 million copies worldwide.
