HAIM is back with Women in Music Pt. III, the rock band’s first full-length since 2017’s Something to Tell You. Lead singer and guitarist Danielle Haim co-produced the album with the group’s frequent collaborators Rostam and Ariel Rechtshaid. The cover art was shot by director Paul Thomas Anderson at Canter’s Deli, where the Haim sisters played their first gig.
Women in Music Pt. III was originally slated for release on April 24, but was pushed back due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It features recent singles like “Don’t Wanna,” “I Know Alone,” and “The Steps,” as well as last October’s “Now I’m in It.”

In an interview with NME, Alana Haim described the motivation for the album.
“The whole mantra of this record is about being fearless and not holding yourself back,” she said. “I feel like there are so many times when there’s that voice in your head going. ‘Be scared, be scared, stop, stop, stop,’ and with this record, we’ve shut that thing off so if one of us is like that, I have two sisters who say, ‘Keep going.‘”
