Iggy Azalea just released her sophomore album, In My Defense, via her very own label, Bad Dreams Records, after becoming an independent artist last November. The 12-track project is executive produced by J. White Did It and features Lil Yachty, Juicy J, Kash Doll, and Stini. The latter artist is the first act signed to Iggy’s newly founded label.
In My Defense is preceded by a pair of singles: “Sally Walker” and “Started.” Several other singles dating all the way back to 2016 were released for her then-titled second studio album, Digital Distortion. Unfortunately, the project was completely scrapped and Iggy released her 2018 EP, Survive the Summer, under Island Records.
Initially, Iggy inked a deal with Interscope Records in 2012, but nearly a year later, she moved to Def Jam. In late 2018, Azalea announced her shift from Def Jam to Island Records. By November 2018, however, Iggy revealed that she signed a reported $3.5 million distribution deal with Empire, which included ownership of her masters and the ability to sign other artists.
