Atlantic Records signee Melanie Martinez shared her new EP, After School, which doubles as the deluxe edition of her 2019 album, K-12. She adds seven new songs to the project, which now runs 20 total tracks. Martinez first gained popularity for her appearance on the third season of The Voice. Her 2015 debut album, Cry Baby, has shown surprising longevity, with many of the songs going Gold or Platinum more than a year after the album’s release.

In 2017, she was accused of sexual assault by a former friend. Martinez denied the accusations, which were never formally prosecuted. She appeared to respond to the issue on her 2017 song, “Piggyback.”
