After exploring her talents in the worlds of pop and R&B, WILLOW is looking to stake her claim in rock music. Her new album, lately i feel EVERYTHING, is an exploration of the pop punk influences of her childhood, with production from Travis Barker and features from the likes of Avril Lavigne, Cherry Glazerr, Ayla Tesler-Mabe, and Tierra Whack.
“I think Black people in the rock world in general are still pretty rare,” she told AltPress about her motivations for making the album. “There’s just a tension there and a resistance that I really wanted to push back against. And on top of the fact that I wanted to push back against that, I just love rock, and I always have for my whole life. Those are two really big reasons why I decided to make this project.”
