Tool is back with its fifth album, Fear Inoculum. The album includes the band’s previously released title track, which debuted on the Hot 100 at No. 93–the band’s first chart entry since 2001’s “Schism.” This is Tool’s first full-length in 13 years, following 2006’s 10,000 Days.
The LA band kept the songwriting in-house with members Maynard James Keenan, Adam Jones, Danny Carey, and Justin Chancellor credited on the songs. Joe Barresi–who’s previously worked with Bad Religion, Queens of the Stone Age, and Pennywise–produced the album.
The band spoke about the album’s theme in an interview with Revolver. “It’s about the little things in life,” said Jones. “It’s making those choices that are important to you and moving on and growing.”
