Trippie Redd is back with the deluxe version of A Love Letter to You 4. The updated tracklist includes eight new cuts, including “The Way,” “YELL OH,” and “How I Was Raised.” The original version of A Love Letter to You 4 was his second release of 2019, following his ! (Exclamation Mark) project last August.
The new cuts include features by SahBabii, Chance the Rapper, Russ, Young Thug, Lil Tecca, G Herbo, and Lil Durk. The Ohio rapper enlisted the help of Pearl Lion, Igor Mamet, Beat Club, Pi’erre Bourne, Repko, and Nick Mira on the production side.
He spoke to Music Connection about what connects the A Love Letter to You series. “A Love Letter to You itself is a mixtape, and basically the concept behind this mixtape is all aspects of love,” he said. “The grunginess and the heart and the music together make it a work of art. It makes it sound like an album. They all end up coming out different, but there is also something about what I always put in them that makes them the same too."
