BTS just dropped the much-hyped soundtrack for their new mobile game, BTS World. The bite-sized visual novel launched worldwide earlier in the week, stuffed with goodies like exclusive videos and instrumentals of familiar songs. This is the prolific boy band’s first release since April’s Map of the Soul: Persona, which became their third successive album to top the Billboard 200.
The K-pop wunderkinds teased the release with a succession of high-profile collaborations with Charli XCX, Zara Larsson, and Juice WRLD. They also enlisted some notable names on the production side with Stargate, Mura Masa, and Powers Pleasant.
Earlier this month, Charli tweeted about the experience of working with BTS. “I had always loved this song but it never quite fit into my world in its original form,” she wrote. “Then in 2017 I went to Seoul for a festival and to do some recording and I met with BTS. They were all so cool and nice and welcoming and that’s where the idea of a collaboration came about… The guys flipped [“Dream Glow”] to be about following your dreams and becoming empowered.”
