Pop Smoke Scores One Of 2020's Biggest Debuts With ‘Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon’

The late rapper moved over 250,000 copies of the album & landed at No. 1.

Pop Smoke’s posthumous debut album, Shoot For the Stars, Aim For the Moon, made a huge splash on the Billboard 200 chart this week. Billboard reports that the late rapper’s album moved 251,000 equivalent album units in its first week, easily landing at No. 1. It’s the sixth-biggest week of 2020, and the first posthumous album to go No. 1 since XXXTENTACION’s Skins.

Shoot For the Stars, Aim For the Moon earned 268.44 million on-demand streams, the fourth largest total of 2020 behind albums by Drake and Lil Uzi Vert. It’s the second chart entry for Pop Smoke this year, following the No. 7 debut of his mixtape, Meet the Woo 2.
