Atlanta rapper T.I. hits a major career milestone today with the release of his 10th studio album Dime Trap. The 15-track project boasts a lengthy list of guest features, including Yo Gotti, Young Thug, Jeezy, Teyana Taylor, Anderson .Paak, Meek Mill, and YFN Lucci. Comedian Dave Chappelle also makes an appearance, playing the voice inside T.I.’s head. Production comes courtesy of Scott Storch, Swizz Beatz, Bangladesh, and more.
“It’s the evolution of Trap Muzik.,” T.I. told Genius about Dime Trap during a recent episode of For the Record. “It’s a commemorative album to celebrate the 15th anniversary, but it’s definitely evolved to a place where once, trap music was once the philosophy of present-day dope boys. It has now grown to a place where it is the philosophy of former, retired dope boys. And I think that making it through that life, enduring and overcoming the pitfalls and consequences that come with that lifestyle while not compromising the morals, standards, and principles that I developed within the lifestyle, the perspective is much different, but the energy is the same.”
