The P.T. Barnum-inspired movie musical The Greatest Showman put up solid box office numbers in the past week, earning $54.3 million overall since it debuted in theaters on Christmas Eve. The musical stars Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Zendaya, and Michelle Williams and features a soundtrack of 11 original songs. Since its release via Atlantic Records, the soundtrack’s songs have earned over one million pageviews on Genius and the project currently sits at No. 1 on the iTunes Top Albums chart.
The music for The Greatest Showman is written and composed by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who have experienced recent success with the music for the Oscar-winning film La La Land as well as the hit Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen.
