Juicy J and Wiz Khalifa returned today with their second collaborative album, Stoner’s Night. The album borrows its title from a trilogy of songs—one of which features Wiz—that Juicy J has released over the last decade. Stoner’s Night arrives six years after Khalifa and Juicy’s previous collaborative effort, 2016’s Rude Awakening.
Leading up to the release of Stoner’s Night, Wiz and Juicy shared two promotional singles, “Pop That Trunk” and “Backseat”—the latter of which features Juicy J’s older brother Project Pat. Elsewhere on the album are appearances from Memphis rapper BIG30, who spits a verse on “Weak,” and singer Elle Varner, who joins the duo on “Why Do I Stay High.”
Stoner’s Night won’t be the last you hear of Juicy J this year. Alongside this Wiz collaboration, the Memphis rapper announced he has another joint project with producer Pi’erre Bourne in the works. The 46-year-old says he hopes to keep this kind of momentum going for the rest of his life. “I’m gonna keep going,” he told MTV News back in 2020. “My kids’ kids will be listening to Juicy J. I’m gonna be like Tony Bennett around here: 80 years old and still getting Grammys and shit.”
