Seven years ago, Wiz Khalifa dropped his third studio album Rolling Papers, which went double platinum and peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in 2011, making it his most successful release to date. With huge expectations to fulfill, Wiz shares its sequel Rolling Papers 2. Although he released several mixtapes last year, Rolling Papers 2 is his first album since 2014’s Blacc Hollywood.
There are many features on the album, including ones from notable artists like Gucci Mane, Swae Lee, Ty Dolla $ign, PARTYNEXTDOOR, and Snoop Dogg. Cardo, Mike WiLL Made-It, Tay Keith, and Young Chop handle the production.
Wiz Khalifa recently sat down with Genius to discuss the project in an episode of For the Record:
“With Rolling Papers 2, it’s like I’m at a whole new point in my career where people may or may not know what to expect. I feel like this is such an opportunity to just come out to the world,“ Wiz tells Genius. "It feels so important, it feels as important as the first time. So that’s why I said Rolling Papers 2.”
