A.CHAL is a Peruvian born singer-songwriter who merges the sounds of rap, pop, and moody R&B. His family moved to Queens, N.Y. when he was 4 years old and began making music soon after, using it as a way to relate to his new surroundings. “I didn’t really understand American language,” he said in a 2016 interview with Noisey. “The only common ground I did have was music.”
He ended up moving to California in 2010, and has dropped multiple projects since including 2013’s Ballroom Riots and his debut album Welcome to GAZI in 2016. This week, he dropped his sophomore album ON GAZ, which spans 11 tracks and includes production from A.CHAL himself, FKi 1st, DJ Spinz, Bizness Boi, and P On The Boards. The album also features appearances by A$AP Nast, French Montana, and GAZI GHOST. The album is available on iTunes and all streaming services now.
