Ariana Grande just released her fourth studio album Sweetener, her first project since 2016’s Dangerous Woman. The pop singer shared three singles prior to the album’s release: “no tears left to cry,” “God is a woman” and the Nicki Minaj collaboration “the light is coming.” Sweetener also includes features from Pharrell Williams and Missy Elliott. Production is handled by the likes of Max Martin, Ilya Salmanzadeh, Savan Kotecha, Pharrell, and more.
Back in May, Ariana shared the origin of the album title on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “It’s kind of about bringing light to a situation or someone’s life, or somebody else who brings light to your life,” Ariana tells Jimmy Fallon. “Sweetening the situation.”
