BLACKPINK return today with their highly anticipated sophomore album, Born Pink, the K-pop girl group’s follow-up to 2020’s The Album. That debut LP quickly catapulted BLACKPINK into international superstardom, spawning U.S. Top 40 hits like “How You Like That” and “Ice Cream,” featuring Selena Gomez.
Ahead of the arrival of Born Pink, BLACKPINK kept details of the project mostly under wraps. The group did, however, share two promotional singles, “Ready For Love” and “Pink Venom.” Upon its release, the latter single climbed to the top of Billboard’s Global 200 chart and set the YouTube record for biggest video 24-hour music video debut of 2022, racking up an impressive 90.4 million views in its first 24 hours.
Starting in mid-October, BLACKPINK will be promoting their new LP with their record-setting Born Pink World Tour. “On top of new music and large-scale projects, BLACKPINK will also go on the largest world tour in the history of a K-pop girl group by the end of the year to expand their rapport with fans worldwide,“ YG Entertainment explained in a press release. The tour is set to make stops in 26 cities across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
