Pop-punk lifers blink-182 return today with ONE MORE TIME…, their ninth studio album and first in 12 years to feature the classic lineup of bassist Mark Hoppus, guitarist Tom DeLonge, and drummer Travis Barker.
It was a long, arduous road to this LP, as DeLonge left the group in 2015 and sat out the last two albums, California (2016) and Nine (2019). (He was replaced by Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio.) DeLonge was moved to rejoin after Hoppus’ 2021 battle with cancer gave all three musicians a renewed perspective on their lives and friendship.
ONE MORE TIME includes five previously released singles, including “EDGING,” which landed back in October 2022; “ONE MORE TIME,” which deals with the band’s troubled interpersonal history; and “YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU’VE GOT,” featuring verses Hoppus wrote about his life-altering illness.
