Charlie Puth releases his sophomore album Voicenotes today after a few delays. The 13-track collection features appearances from Kehlani, James Taylor, and Boyz II Men. It’s primarily self-produced and includes the previously released singles “Attention,” “How Long,” and “Done For Me.”
In an interview with USA Today, Puth said Voicenotes is more authentic than his debut album Nine Track Mind:
I’m glad people are finally hearing the real me. This isn’t the story of how I got hooked up with some cooler producer—I always had this music in me, it was just a matter of executing it.
