New Jersey native Coi Leray returns today with her second studio album, COI, the follow-up to 2022’s Trendsetter. Leray has been teasing the new project for a few months now, unveiling the LP’s official tracklist as far back as May and sharing four singles: ”Bops,” ”My Body,” ”Run It Up,” and ”Players.” The latter single has since become Leray’s highest-charting song to date, reaching No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 in April.
Leading up to the release of COI, Leray took to Twitter to reveal what fans can expect from her new album, which only took her a little over six months to write and record. While she calls Trendsetter a ”pain” record, she says COI is all about ”growth.” ”My last record was all my music I had made in those couple years,” she wrote. ”This time, it’s giving BITCH IM HERE TO STAY.”
