Genre-defying singer-songwriter d4vd returns today with his debut EP, Petals To Thorns. The nine-song project marks the Texas-raised artist’s first full-length project and arrives a little over a year after he started recording songs on his iPhone in his sister’s closet. That’s how he made his first hit single, 2022’s “Romantic Homicide,” which peaked at No. 77 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has amassed over 595 million Spotify streams to date. “Romantic Homicide” and his second chart hit, “Here With Me,” both appear on Petals To Thorns.
Along with “Romantic Homicide” and “Here With Me,” Petals To Thorns will feature previously released singles “WORTHLESS” and “Sleep Well.” There’s also a guest appearance from Icelandic singer Laufey on the third track, “This Is How It Feels.”
In addition to dropping Petals To Thorns, d4vd is set to embark on a summer European and U.S. tour this year. The tour kicks off in Manchester, U.K., on May 28 and ends in his hometown of Houston, Texas, on June 25.
