Less than two months after the release of a high-profile collaboration with The Weeknd, French producer and DJ Gesaffelstein is back with the release of his new album, Hyperion. The 10-track project mixes instrumental tracks and collaborations with artists like Pharrell Williams, HAIM, Bronwyn Griffin, and The Hacker.
The release comes after a highly publicized announcement about retiring from live shows at Coachella in 2015. Last October, billboards mysteriously appeared in multiple cities advertising his return, and he dropped “Lost in the Fire” with The Weeknd at the top of 2019. Now, the shadowy Gesaffelstein has made his grand return as a leading artist.
