GloRilla is one of this year’s biggest stories in hip-hop, and today, she serves up her debut EP, Anyway, Life’s Great… The Memphis rapper has been making records since 2019, but it wasn’t until her single “F.N.F. (Let’s Go)” blew up earlier this year that she began gaining notice outside of her hometown. The viral success of “F.N.F.” earned her a deal with Memphis hero Yo Gotti’s CMG label.
Anyway, Life’s Great… includes “F.N.F.” and “Tomorrow 2,” a remix of GloRilla’s song “Tomorrow” featuring Cardi B. “Tomorrow 2” dropped back in September and peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 3 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
Last month, as “Tomorrow 2” caught fire, GloRilla won Best Breakthrough Hip-Hop Artist at the BET Awards. Speaking with The Commercial Appeal in advance of Anyway, Life’s Great…, GloRilla teased more new music and big wins for 2023. “I’m going to keep doing what I’ve been doing the way I’ve been doing it, ‘cause it’s working so far,” she said.
