Ever since Justin Timberlake dropped “Can’t Stop the Feeling” for the 2016 movie Trollz, fans have been anticipating the singer’s return. Now he’s officially back with his latest solo album Man of the Woods, the follow-up to his 2013 two-part project The 20/20 Experience. The album features his previously released singles “Filthy,” “Supplies,” and “Say Something” featuring Chris Stapleton. Alicia Keys also appears on “Morning Light,” and Timberlake reunites with “SexyBack” producers Timbaland and Danja for the album.
Timberlake previously said in the album’s official trailer that he was heavily inspired by his family and home. Then on his birthday, January 31st, he shared a video on Twitter explaining that Man of the Woods is named after his son, Silas. The Latin meaning for Silas translates to “of the forest” or “of the woods.” He also requested, with a laugh, to stop referring to it as a “country album.” Man of the Woods arrives just ahead of Timberlake’s Super Bowl halftime performance this Sunday.
