After weeks of anticipation, Kendrick Lamar’s fourth album DAMN. is finally here. The 14-track album features Zacari, U2, and Rihanna. Production is handled by DJ Dahi, Sounwave, Mike WiLL Made-It, 9th Wonder, Cardo, Greg Kurstin, and more. It also includes Kendrick’s previously released single “HUMBLE.” which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. Not included, however, is his late-March track “The Heart Part 4.”
DAMN. serves as the official follow-up to his 2015 album To Pimp A Butterfly, which went Platinum and spawned hits like “King Kunta” and “i.” In the interim, he released untitled, unmastered. early last year, which—as the title indicates—included eight untitled, unmastered songs.
Kendrick has yet to speak publicly about the album, although he allowed LeBron James to preview several of the songs on his Instagram story earlier today. Many fans originally believed that the album would drop last Friday, April 7 due to a line on “The Heart Part 4,” but Kendrick ended up sharing the iTunes pre-order instead.
