2017’s breakout star Khalid is back with his new EP Suncity, the El Paso, Texas singer’s first project since the release of his debut album American Teen. The seven-track project boasts a single feature from Empress Of, while production is handled by the likes of Charlie Handsome, DIGI, John Hill, and Khalid himself. It also includes his September single “Better.”
As El Paso’s KTSM reports, the project’s cover art is shot in front of a house at the intersection of Kentucky Street and Arizona Ave in El Paso. The singer-songwriter has frequently mentioned the city in his lyrics. He grew up on various military bases, frequently moving around before settling in El Paso during his junior year of high school, shortly before the release of his breakout project.
