NAV returns today with Demons Protected by Angels, his fourth studio album and first since 2020’s Good Intentions, which peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and became his second consecutive chart-topper. The Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer got the title of this latest project from a slogan on the back of a sweater designed by a friend.
“And it was very meaningful to me, because he came up with that himself when his mom passed away about a year ago,” NAV told Complex. “So I was like, ‘Wow, that’s even better.’ Like, it actually has a good meaning.”
Demons Protected by Angels features Travis Scott and Lil Baby on the single “Never Sleep,” which arrived back in July. Other guests include Gunna, Lil Durk, Bryson Tiller, Babyface Ray, RealestK, Future, Don Toliver, and Lil Uzi Vert, who turns up on two songs, “Dead Shot” and “Interstellar.”
