Tory Lanez’s hairline has been the subject of many jokes and conversations, but it turns out there was a behind-the-scenes musical deal involved, too. In a new interview with HipHopDX, Tory Lanez revealed that he wanted his hairline fixed so badly that he made a lofty promise to Tyga.
“I had met Tyga and I was like, ‘Yo, I will give you unlimited features for the rest of your life,’” Tory recalled. “He has an unlimited feature pass from me for giving up the secret.”
The two rappers have collaborated twice in the past two years. Tory popped up on Tyga’s “Faithful” in 2018, and Tyga returned the favor by appearing on Tory’s “Broke Leg” earlier this year.
The subject of Tory’s hairline has come up in music before, most notably when he went back and forth with Joyner Lucas in a series of playful diss tracks late last year. On “Litty (Freestyle),” Joyner rapped:

Maybe that doctor put something inside of your head
When you got your new hairline replacement (Brrrat)
He addressed the issue himself on Meek Mill’s “Litty” in 2016, rapping:
Niggas talkin' ‘bout my hair line, I laugh about it, I be feelin’ them

People like LeBron James, Swizz Beatz, Shawty Lo, and more have also been the target of hairline jokes in rap music. It seems Tory was determined to nip these jokes in the bud.
