The Chainsmokers and Coldplay’s collaboration titled “Something Just Like This” has been teased for months now. Back in September, the EDM bro-throbs posted a video from the studio while working on the song and now the full-length track is finally here.
On the song’s first verse, Chris Martin croons:
I’ve been reading books of old
The legends and the myths
Achilles and his gold
Hercules and his gifts
Spiderman’s control
And Batman with his fists
And clearly I don’t see myself upon that list
“Something Just Like This” is exactly what you’d expect from a Coldplay helmed track featuring The Chainsmokers on production and if their recent chart-breaking success is an indicator, this song will be all over the airwaves this year.
The song will appear on the Chainsmokers forthcoming album Memories… Do Not Open which is out on April 7 on Disruptor/Columbia.
