The Weeknd Announces New Single “Take My Breath” Dropping This Friday

Just weeks after revealing that he has a new project on the way soon, The Weeknd announced that he’s dropping a brand new single this Friday, August 6. He teased the song, titled “Take My Breath,” alongside a clip starring Olympic Sydney McLaughlin, Dalilah Muhammad, Gabby Thomas, Athing Mu, and more:

The Weeknd revealed back in July that he was well on his way to completing the follow-up to 2020’s multi-Platinum After Hours, saying he was in the process of “massaging it now, being sweet to it. giving it some tlc.” He also hinted that it could drop before his After Hours tour begins at the start of 2022.
