It’s been over a year since the release of The Weeknd’s last album, After Hours, but the singer isn’t done promoting the project just yet. Today he reunites with Ariana Grande for a remix of “Save Your Tears,” which peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart back in February and still sits at No. 5 on the chart. The pair previously worked together on 2014’s “Love Me Harder” and last year’s “off the table.”
“Save Your Tears” is produced by Max Martin, DaHeala, Oscar Holter, and The Weeknd himself. Grande adds a new verse to the song, crooning:
Met you once under a Pisces moon
I kept my distance ‘cause I know that you
Don’t like when I’m with nobody else
I couldn’t help it, I put you through hell
On the chorus, she sings about her regrets in a relationship:
Boy, take me back ‘cause I wanna stay
Save your tears for another
I realize that it’s much too late
And you deserve someone better
Save your tears for another day
The new remix is likely to boost the song’s chart position next week.
