Travis Scott closed out the second day of Made in America Festival in Philadelphia over the weekend. During his set, the Houston rapper announced that he has new music dropping soon.
“I don’t know how many people out here made it to the Astroworld tour, but I love y’all, thank y’all for coming,” said Travis. “We got some new music on the way very motherfucking soon, you dig what I’m sayin.”
Although he didn’t share any further details at the time, Travis has been teasing a song over the past several months titled “Highest in the Room.” It first surfaced in April during a commercial for his girlfriend Kylie Jenner’s Kybrows collection:
After performing snippets of “Highest in the Room” during various festival sets, Travis recently previewed Lil Baby’s verse on the song:
Yesterday, Travis shared an Instagram post further teasing the track’s release. “Sent me a wave to come kick it,” he wrote. “Highest in the Room soon reach.”
In August 2018, Travis dropped his No. 1 album, ASTROWORLD, featuring his first No. 1 hit, “SICKO MODE.” He hasn’t released any solo material since then, but stayed busy with guest verses on songs by Future, Young Thug, 21 Savage, Lil Wayne, and more.
