He premiered the song during his Rolling Loud set over the weekend.

Travis Scott’s Astroworld doesn’t have an official release date yet, but judging by the recent release of “Watch,” the project is likely on its way soon. During his Rolling Loud set over the weekend, the Houston rapper added more fuel to the fire of speculation by performing his unreleased track “Stargazing.” The song is produced by Nghtwalk, and doesn’t stray far from Travis' Houston roots.

On the track, Travis drops a drug-fueled reference to one of his hometown heroes, which Genius contributor Astroworld (unrelated to the album) explains in an annotation:

Big Moe is closely associated with the rise of Houston’s lean culture, which popularized both the drug and associated style of slowed-down, syrupy hip-hop in the early 2000s. He was a member of The Screwed Up Click alongside legendary Houston producer DJ Screw. Moe passed away from a heart attack in 2007.

Genius previously broke down the history of lean and hip-hop:

The entirety of “Stargazing” is filled with drug references, like when Travis raps:

Rollin', rollin', rollin', got me stargazin' (roll)
Psychedelics got me goin' crazy (oh no)

So far not much is known about Astroworld’s official tracklist. Last year, Travis was seen in the studio with artists like Tame Impala and PARTYNEXTDOOR, which could hint at potential collaborators. Interscope’s Senior VP A&R Randall “Sickamore” Medford told Billboard that the album is “loosely inspired by Houston and its slow-riding, bottom-heavy sound,” and Travis also hinted at a collaboration with Stevie Wonder.
