It’s the lead single off Scott’s forthcoming ‘UTOPIA’ album.

Travis Scott returns today with “K-POP,” a new single featuring Bad Bunny and The Weeknd. Despite the title, the song has nothing to do with the musical genre K-pop, and given the lyrics and cover art, it seems likely Travis and the boys are talking about ketamine lollipops. Naturally, this A-lister troika has already moved to No. 1 on the Genius Top Songs chart.

Produced by Boi-1da, Illangelo, Jahaan Sweet, and BNYX, “K-POP” boasts a smooth yet insistent tropical groove that suits all three artists. Travis bats first with a vaguely worded verse that hints at vehicular sex and chemically enhanced partying.

Behind the tint, I sin, I vent
Can’t forget about that place we went
Right after you put that in my head
Do you still pop ’em? Do you dance?

Bad Bunny goes next and brags about partying in Miami, cruising in his G-wagon, and jetting off to Musha Cay, a mega-fancy island owned by illusionist David Copperfield.

La nota me explota, el ticke’ lo exploto
Vamo’ pa’ Cayo Musha, ya le texteé al piloto, eh-eh

Last up is The Weeknd, who does his classic decadent-druggy-sex thing. Here’s how he opens his verse:

Mix the drugs with the pain
Let the waves lead the way
You in Cannes and Saint-Tropez callin’ out my name

Of course, this being a Weeknd verse, there are no real feelings involved.

We gon’ fuck ’til we seasick
You my bad lil’ mami, mami
You love me, you could tell me you love me
Even if you don’t mean it (Mm-mm)

“K-POP” is the lead single off Scott’s forthcoming album UTOPIA, the follow-up to 2018’s Astroworld. That LP shares its name with the ill-fated festival Travis held in Houston in November 2021. Eight people died due to a crowd crush at the event, and two others died in the days following the concert. Last month, a grand jury in Texas declined to indict the rapper in connection with the tragedy.

More recently, Scott has created controversy in Egypt, where he plans to perform material from UTOPIA in front of the Pyramids of Giza on July 28. The Egyptian Syndicate of Musical Professions has sought to revoke Scott’s permits, though reps from Live Nation have said the show will go on as planned.

While that gets sorted out, you can read all the lyrics to “K-POP” on Genius now.
