Tomorrow, Compton rappers YG and Tyga release a joint album called Hit Me When U Leave The Klub: The Playlist, and today, they’ve given us a fourth taste of the project. It’s called “Brand New,”, and it features a bonkers verse from Lil Wayne, which might explain why it’s rapidly climbing the Genius Top Songs chart.
Produced by Swish and Mike Crook, “Brand New” finds all three rappers with money on their minds. The track kicks off with Saweetie, who talks over an old-school soul groove about how she wants to spend her man’s dough. Then the beat switches to something harder and trappier, and Tyga kicks in with a boastful chorus that references his pricey Rolex.
