Tyler, The Creator & Kali Uchis Share An Acoustic Version Of Their Buzzing Song “See You Again”

Genius data shows that there might be a hit in the works.

Tyler, The Creator dropped his latest album Flower Boy back in July, but his Kali Uchis collab “See You Again” is just starting to heat up. After performing the song on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Sept. 28, the California rapper just shared an acoustic version of the track alongside Kali Uchis on Twitter.

The clip features both artists sitting at a piano performing a stripped-down version of the song. They’re both wearing the same outfits from their Jimmy Fallon performance, which seems to indicate that it was recorded backstage before or after they appeared on the show:

“See You Again” has yet to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, but Genius data indicates that it’s in the midst of a recent bump in popularity. After earning five-digit pageviews in the week immediately after its release, the song experienced declining traffic, bottoming out with less than 2,000 daily pageviews between Sept. 6 and Sept. 15.

Since then, daily pageviews have rebounded, hitting a high of 5,158 on Oct. 3. This could indicate that Tyler’s self-produced “See You Again” is starting to catch on as a single, and could even reach the Hot 100 chart. Only one of Tyler’s songs has ever charted: “Who Dat Boy” featuring A$AP Rocky hit No. 87 earlier this year.

Back in September, Tyler revealed that he didn’t intend to record the song himself:

So far, “See You Again” has earned over 365,000 Genius pageviews. Even if it never officially charts, the self-produced song is clearly a hit with Tyler’s fans.
