About “One Day Remains”

“One Day Remains” is the debut album by heavy metal band Alter Bridge.
Released in 2004, it was the first effort that featured three of the members of rock band Creed since its disbandment, namely Mark Tremonti (lead guitar), Brian Marshall (bass) and Scott Phillips (drums), and adding vocalist and rhythm guitarist Myles Kennedy from defunct rock band The Mayfield Four to the mix.

This album gained mainstream media attention thanks to the tracks “Metalingus” and “Shed My Skin”, the former being used as the entrance theme of professional wrestler Adam “Edge” Copeland, while the latter was featured in the soundtrack for the 2005 movie adaptation of the Fantastic Four super-hero comic ; as well as commercially successful singles such as “Broken Wings” and “Open Your Eyes”. “In Loving Memory” is another very popular song although it was never released as a single, just like “Metalingus”.
